The seminar "NGO and treatment and support of dependent women" has been held with the support of the Nordic Council of Ministers in the Mental Health Center (Klaipeda, Lithuania) on May 8.  The experts of the ARKEN organization (Oslo, Norway) shared the experience of the ARKEN clinic for women. The seminar was conducted by Reidun Wilhelmsen (head of ARKEN) and Kristin Konghelf  (group work expert). The residential rehabilitation lasts 9 months, after which the women get psycho-social support during the year. The effectiveness of the program (remission a year or more) exceeds 60%. Specialists and heads of NGOs and drug treatment services from St. Petersburg, Narva, Klaipeda, Kaliningrad have taken part in the seminar.
